Women Peacemakers Program (calling interns)

"Without Peace, development is impossible and without Women, neither peace nor development can take place"

WPP’s International Orientation is a 6 weeks annual orientation at the IFOR International Secretariat and its Women Peacemakers Program for two young women active in civil society organizations (CSOs).

The objectives of the International Orientation are:

to facilitate skills sharing between peace activists from different regions, concentrating on women and youth, by supporting international participation in trainings, and finding and supporting temporary placements in peace projects and offices for periods of up to six weeks.

to provide specific orientation to help program participants further their thinking and familiarity with critical international issues in conflict resolution, development, human rights and gender awareness

The orientation includes an introduction to international peace work and exposure visits to relevant organizations and practical office work. The Interns will produce the newsletter Time is Now! Read the 2008 WPP interns produced newsletter “The Time Is Now”.
